At EVPV, we recently completed a project that turned a typical Taco Bell parking lot in South San Francisco into a state-of-the-art EV charging hub.
This project wasn’t just about adding chargers—it was about creating a sustainable energy solution that benefits both the customers and the business.
We were brought in to consult on the project. The goal? Create a smart, efficient EV charging setup that also powers the Taco Bell itself.
We partnered with ChargeNet Stations and Atech Construction to bring this vision to life. Here’s how it all came together:
Solar-Powered Charging: We consulted on the installation of solar panels that double as a canopy, providing shade while generating power.
Advanced EV Charging: The Tritium chargers installed are top-notch, featuring Type 2 & CHAdeMO connectors on one handle and CSS connectors on the other. This allows for fast and efficient charging for a wide range of electric vehicles.
Battery Storage Integration: The Delta battery storage system we implemented stores solar energy, ensuring that the EV chargers are powered even during peak times or when the sun isn’t shining.
Efficient Energy Use: The same solar energy that charges the EVs also powers the Taco Bell, reducing energy costs and demand charges.
